How does a solar 4G camera work?
The solar panel charges the built-in battery in daylight, and the battery runs the camera at night. Video goes out over a 4G SIM card, so you need no power or network cable: good for farms, construction sites, roads and remote gates. Mount the panel in open sun, and use a SIM with a data plan on a network that is strong at the site.
What is Smart Hybrid Light?
The camera has two lights. In the dark it uses invisible IR and records in black and white. When it detects a person or vehicle, it turns on white light and records in colour. You can also set it to IR only or white light only.
What happens to my recordings if a hard disk fails or the NVR is stolen?
With a microSD card in the camera, the last days of video stay inside the camera, even if the hard disk fails or thieves take the NVR. If the network drops, the camera records to the card and the NVR copies the gap back later. On the NVR side, RAID models (86xx, 96xx) lose nothing when one disk fails; other NVRs lose only the video on the failed disk.
