Does it work without a PC or internet?
Yes. The door controller is built in. Once people are enrolled, it opens the door on its own, and it keeps the last 150,000 events in memory. Hikvision HikCentral or the free iVMS-4200 client are optional, for several doors and attendance reports.
Which cards does it read?
Mifare 1, DESFire and FeliCa cards (13.56 MHz). EM (125 kHz) cards carry only an ID number; Mifare (13.56 MHz) cards can hold data and are harder to copy. Choose the version that matches the cards your site already uses.
How many people can it store?
10,000 faces, 50,000 cards and 150,000 events. Each person can have a face and a card.
Can it do time attendance?
Yes. It records every check-in as an event, and HikCentral or the free iVMS-4200 client turns the events into attendance reports. It also has an attendance-only mode, for a clock-in point that opens no door.
What do I need to connect a door?
A PoE port or a 12 to 24 V supply, an electric lock (magnetic lock or bolt), an exit button inside and, if you want to know when the door is left open, a door contact. The terminal switches the lock itself. For higher security, a secure door control unit on the RS-485 line keeps the lock relay inside the room.
Can it check that people wear a mask?
Yes. Hikvision lists face mask detection for this model. It can also recognise up to 5 people at once.
Wi-Fi or network cable?
Both. Use the network cable where you can; Wi-Fi is there for doors with no cable run.
