Does it need a separate access controller?
No. The access controller is built in: it stores 500,000 cards and 500,000 events and opens the arms for valid cards. Set it up from a PC or phone browser.
Which cards does it read?
This E version reads EM cards. Hikvision makes the card type match the model name, so for Mifare (M1) cards ask us for the M1 version.
How many people can pass per minute?
30 to 60 persons per minute. The real figure depends on how fast people show their card and walk through.
What happens in a fire alarm?
The turnstile has a fire alarm input: when it is triggered, the arms drop automatically so people can leave.
Does it work in both directions?
Yes. The lane is bidirectional (entering and exiting). If a person is let through but does not pass in time, the valid passing duration cancels the permission.
Can it go outdoors?
Hikvision gives no IP rating for this model, so install it indoors or under a roof. It works from -20 to 65 °C. Clean the stainless steel every month (every week near the sea or chemical plants).
Can I add a face terminal or another reader?
It has 2 Wiegand and 4 RS-485 ports for extra readers. Ask us which Hikvision terminal suits your site before ordering.
