What happens in a power cut?
The arms unlock into free passing, so people can leave the site. Plan a guard or a second lock point if the site must stay closed during a power cut.
Is it noisy?
No. A hydraulic shock absorber keeps the rotation smooth and quiet.
Can it go outdoors?
Yes. Hikvision rates it for indoor and outdoor use, -15 to 55 °C, with a waterproof structure in SUS304 stainless steel. Clean it every month (every week near the sea or chemical plants); for those sites Hikvision suggests 316 stainless steel, so ask us first.
How do people get through?
The Pg version takes a Hikvision face terminal on the post (Hikvision lists the DS-K1T671MF, DS-K1T671M, DS-K1T671). The terminal checks the face or card and lets the person through. It turns both ways, so a second terminal can check people on the way out.
What if someone is let in but does not walk through?
The turnstile has a valid passing duration: if the person does not pass in time, the permission is cancelled and the next person must authenticate again. The delay is set with a DIP switch on the control panel.
