Quick answers about the DS-K4T100, and how it compares.
Magnetic lock or electric bolt: which one is better?
A magnetic lock fixes on the surface of the frame and is the easiest to fit on most doors. An electric bolt sits inside the frame, so it is hidden and harder to tamper with; its bolt drops into a strike plate and resists strong force. Bolts suit glass doors (with the right bracket), doors that swing both ways and narrow frames. Both open when power is cut, which is safe for fire exits. Ask us if you are not sure which fits your door.
Why do I need an exit button?
The exit button lets people inside open the door without a card, face or code. It connects to the exit input of the access controller or terminal, so the exit is also logged. A touchless button opens with a wave of the hand, which keeps it clean in clinics, offices and food areas.
