Know before you buy
Quick answers about the DS-TMG034/60G (Trigger Radar), and how it compares.
What does a trigger radar do?
It detects a car or a person arriving at the lane and gives the barrier or the parking controller a signal, the same signal a loop detector gives. Used for free-flow exit lanes, or to wake the ANPR camera.
Trigger radar or anti-fall radar?
Trigger opens or signals on arrival and faces the approach. Anti-fall holds the boom up over the car and sits at the boom. Same hardware, different mode; many lanes use one of each. The anti-fall version is the DS-TMG034/60G (Anti-fall Radar).
Does it replace the loop detector?
Yes, on the approach side. No cutting the road, and it sees people as well as cars.
What is the difference between DS-TMG035 and DS-TMG034?
Same job and the same radar figures. DS-TMG035 is set up over Bluetooth, takes 9 to 32 V DC, is IP67 and smaller. DS-TMG034 is set up over Wi-Fi and takes 9 to 12 V DC. The /60G versions of the DS-TMG034 use a 60 GHz radar instead of 79 GHz.
Does rain, fog or sun affect it?
No. Radar is not affected by light, dust, rain, snow or electromagnetic interference. Working range -40 to +85 °C.
How is it set up?
Mount it on the barrier housing facing the lane, power it, then set the distance and width in the phone app over Wi-Fi (or by RS-485). Settings are kept after a power cut.
