Which boom length do I need?
The boom covers the lane, so measure the lane width. The version we stock has a telescopic boom for 2.5 to 4.5 m, set to the exact width on site, which covers most society and office gates. Hikvision also makes a fixed 3 m and a 3.4 to 6 m telescopic version.
Left or right: which one do I order?
Stand in front of the barrier with the Hikvision logo facing you. Boom on your right: DS-TMG300-DR. Boom on your left: DS-TMG300-DL. Order the right part number for your side of the lane.
What stops the boom hitting a car?
Two things. If the boom touches something while closing it rebounds. And an anti-fall radar (DS-TMG035 or DS-TMG034), a loop detector in the road or an IR beam holds the boom up while a car or person is under it. The barrier has one input for any of the three.
Can it open by number plate?
Yes. A Hikvision entrance ANPR camera such as the DS-TCG406-E reads the plate and switches the barrier through its relay output. Listed cars (up to 100,000) get in without a guard, also when the network is down.
What happens in a power cut?
The boom stays where it is until the power is back. Hikvision offers rising on power-off as an option for this barrier; ask us for it if your gate must open in a power cut.
How is it different from the DS-TMG320?
Same Value Series and the same 3 s class of speed. The 300-D comes with its boom and runs on 110 or 220 V; the 320 is a more compact body sold without the boom, with an indicator light and Bluetooth setup. Both take the same radars, loop detectors and number plate cameras.
How does the guard open it?
With the 430.5 MHz remote (up to 25 can be paired), a wired button box in the booth, or automatically from a number plate camera or the parking software through the barrier's open, close and stop inputs. The remote comes in the box.
