Know before you buy
Quick answers about the DS-TMP102-A1, and how it compares.
How fast does a 7 kW charger charge, and will it fit my car?
A 7 kW charger adds about 7 kWh to the battery per hour, so a 60 kWh battery goes from empty to full in about 9 hours, which suits overnight or all-day parking. The car's own on-board charger can limit the speed. The plug is Type 2 (IEC 62196), used by most European and many Asian electric cars; if your car has a different socket, ask us before you buy. It needs a dedicated single-phase 32 A circuit, installed by a qualified electrician. Ask us for a site check.

How fast is a DC fast charger, and what does the site need?
A DC fast charger feeds the battery directly, so it is many times faster than an AC wall charger: Hikvision rates this 160 kW unit at about 180 km of range in 10 minutes, shared smartly between its two CCS2 connectors. The car also limits how much power it can take. The site needs a 400 V three-phase supply sized for the full charger load, which for 160 kW usually means a dedicated connection from your electricity company, plus network for OCPP billing. Ask us for a site survey.
