How does a face module work with a turnstile?

The module mounts on the turnstile pedestal and does the face recognition; the turnstile only opens the lane. Hikvision turnstiles marked Pg take it directly, and models with an RS-232 or Wiegand output also work with third-party gates. One module per lane direction. Ask us and we check your gate model.

Can a photo or a video open it?

No. The terminal checks that a real person is in front of it before it compares the face, so a printed photo or a phone screen is rejected. Faces are read at the distance stated for the model, with glasses on, and in low light with the built-in fill light.
