Quick answers about the DS-TMP201-D2(HD) 160kW, and how it compares.
How fast is a DC fast charger, and what does the site need?
A DC fast charger feeds the battery directly, so it is many times faster than an AC wall charger: Hikvision rates this 160 kW unit at about 180 km of range in 10 minutes, shared smartly between its two CCS2 connectors. The car also limits how much power it can take. The site needs a 400 V three-phase supply sized for the full charger load, which for 160 kW usually means a dedicated connection from your electricity company, plus network for OCPP billing.
