Quick answers about the ISD-SMG333L, and how it compares.
Hand-held or walk-through metal detector: which one do I need?
A walk-through metal detector checks everyone quickly at a busy entrance. A hand-held detector finds the exact place of the metal after a walk-through alarm, and is enough on its own for small gates, exam halls and events. Most sites use both together, often with an X-ray scanner for bags. Ask us to plan a security check point.
Which X-ray scanner size do I need, and is it safe?
Choose by the largest bag you will check. A 500 × 300 mm tunnel takes handbags, backpacks and small parcels, and suits offices, courts, schools and hospitals. A 650 × 500 mm tunnel takes travel luggage and bigger parcels, for hotels, malls, stations and airports. Both are safe: radiation outside the machine is below 1.0 μSv/h at 100 mm, close to natural background, and they are film safe to ISO 1600. Ask us to plan your security check point.
