How does a fisheye camera show the picture?
One fisheye camera covers a whole room with a 180° view from the ceiling or wall. The picture can be flattened (dewarped) into a normal panorama or split into several PTZ-style views, so one camera can do the work of several fixed cameras in shops, halls and lobbies.
What happens to my recordings if a hard disk fails or the NVR is stolen?
With a microSD card in the camera, the last days of video stay inside the camera, even if the hard disk fails or thieves take the NVR. If the network drops, the camera records to the card and the NVR copies the gap back later. On the NVR side, RAID models (86xx, 96xx) lose nothing when one disk fails; other NVRs lose only the video on the failed disk.
