Quick answers about the ISD-SMG333L, and how it compares.
Hand-held or walk-through metal detector: which one do I need?
A walk-through metal detector checks everyone quickly at a busy entrance. A hand-held detector finds the exact place of the metal after a walk-through alarm, and is enough on its own for small gates, exam halls and events. Most sites use both together, often with an X-ray scanner for bags. Ask us to plan a security check point.
Is an X-ray baggage scanner safe for people, food and phones?
Yes. The X-rays stay inside the shielded tunnel behind the lead curtains; leakage outside the machine is far below the limit for public areas, so the operator sits next to it all day. Food, medicines, phones, laptops and memory cards are not affected. Only undeveloped photographic film can be fogged by repeated scans. People and pets must never go through the tunnel.
