Supported application

Integration behavior depends on the separately supplied, compatible software app.

Conceptual architecture, not a wiring diagram. System-to-system integration requires a compatible, configured application and supported target systems. A physical Ethernet connection alone does not enable an integration.

Main Ethernet connection

XF51 is the primary network interface for PXI-CORE. Connect it to the designated Ethernet network and use an appropriate configuration device to access the controller's web-based management interface.

Important selection note

PXI-CORE is an integration platform—not a PRAESENSA system controller. The external 24 VDC supply and application-specific software must be considered separately; supported integrations and licensed capabilities depend on the installed app and its documentation.

Questions & answers

Know before you buy

Quick answers about the PXI-CORE, and how it compares.

What is the Bosch PXI-CORE Edge Controller used for?
The Bosch PXI-CORE is a compact, Linux Ubuntu Core-based edge controller designed to host supported integration applications. It provides a platform for connecting and coordinating compatible Bosch security and public address systems through IP-based communication. Available functions depend on the installed applications, licenses and system configuration.
Can Bosch PXI-CORE integrate PRAESENSA and PRAESIDEO systems?
Yes. With the supported Bosch Intelligent Control application and appropriate licenses, PXI-CORE can support integration between compatible PRAESENSA and PRAESIDEO systems. This enables configured event and action coordination across the systems, including supported status and control functions. The controller alone does not provide these licensed application functions.
What power supply and network connections does the Bosch PXI-CORE require?
PXI-CORE requires an external nominal 24 VDC SELV/PELV power supply, which is not included with the controller. The manufacturer specifies an allowable supply voltage range of 18 to 31.2 VDC. The unit includes two RJ45 Ethernet connections for network connectivity. The final network arrangement and power supply must follow the manufacturer's documentation.
Why is my PXI-CORE not connecting to or controlling a PRAESENSA system?
First verify the controller's power supply, relevant network connectivity and access permissions. Then check that the supported Intelligent Control application is installed and configured, the PXI-LICB base license is activated, and the required PRAESENSA system license is available. Also review the configured system definitions, events and actions. Actual troubleshooting depends on the reported fault and software version.
What is the difference between Bosch PXI-CORE and a PRAESENSA system controller?
PXI-CORE is an edge computing and integration platform that hosts supported applications, including Intelligent Control. A PRAESENSA system controller performs core control functions within a PRAESENSA public address and voice alarm system. PXI-CORE is not a direct replacement for a PRAESENSA system controller; the two products serve different roles and may work together in a supported integration design.
Does the Bosch PXI-CORE include Intelligent Control software licenses, or must they be purchased separately?
The PXI-CORE hardware should not be assumed to include Intelligent Control licensing. Bosch specifies the PXI-LICB base license for using the Intelligent Control application, plus the relevant system-specific licenses such as PXI-LPRA for PRAESENSA or PXI-LPRS for PRAESIDEO integrations. Licensing quantities depend on the systems being connected. Confirm the required licenses and supplied package before ordering.
What is the Bosch PXI-CORE price in Pakistan, and where can I request a quotation?

For Bosch PXI-CORE pricing, availability and a project quotation in Pakistan, contact ESCO Pakistan. Share the intended integration, connected system models, required licenses and quantity of controllers. ESCO can review the specified configuration and provide a quotation based on current availability and project requirements. Pricing and delivery are subject to confirmation.
