Where does the PRA-ES8P2S fit?
It extends the PRAESENSA network beyond the ports on the [PRA-SCL] controller and multifunction power supply. PoE ports power [PRA-CSLD] and [PRA-CSLW] call stations, and fiber ports link remote racks and buildings.
Can I use an ordinary network switch?
Not for a certified voice alarm system. The PRA-ES8P2S is EN 54-16 certified with PRAESENSA and pre-configured for audio over IP (QoS, RSTP, EEE disabled). Office switches aren’t certified and can cause audio dropouts.
How many call stations can it power?

The 120 W PoE budget covers all eight ports even with fully loaded call stations. *Limited by the 8 PoE ports, not by power.
Which fiber modules does it take?
PRA-SFPSX multimode or PRA-SFPLX single-mode SFP modules in combo ports 9–10. Use single mode for longer distances, such as between buildings
What happens if a cable or power supply fails?
RSTP reroutes around a broken link in a ring. Dual 24–48 V DC inputs keep it running if one supply fails. Power loss and link-down are reported to the PA/VA system through the fault relay.
How does a PRAESENSA system fit together?
The [PRA-SCL] or [PRA-SCS] system controller is the brain: it routes all audio, plays messages and supervises every device. [Amplifiers], [multifunction power supplies] with battery backup and [call stations] all connect over one IP network using OMNEO, with loop-through cabling for redundancy. Up to 250 devices and 500+ zones per system, certified to EN 54-16 and ISO 7240-16.
Who supplies Bosch PRAESENSA in Pakistan, and what warranty do I get?
Electronic Security Company (ESCO) is the only authorized distributor of Bosch, Dynacord and Electro-Voice in Pakistan, so every PRAESENSA product we supply is genuine and comes with a 3-year warranty. Warranty is carry-in: bring the unit to an ESCO office and after inspection it is repaired or replaced as needed.
