Where does the PRA-CSLD fit?
The operator’s desk of a Bosch PRAESENSA system: live announcements, recorded messages and background music control from a 4.3" touch screen, connected to the [PRA-SCL] or [PRA-SCS] controller over the network.
Do I need the PRA-CSE extension?
Yes, for most setups. Without a [PRA-CSE] the call station only works with pre-set zones. Each extension adds 12 buttons with zone status LEDs, up to four per call station. At least one is required for EN 54 voice alarm use.
How is it powered and connected?
One shielded network cable carries audio, control and PoE power (IEEE 802.3af Class 3). Add a second cable for redundant network and power. Either one alone keeps it fully working.
Can it be used for emergency announcements?
Yes. With the fireman’s interface configured and at least one [PRA-CSE] connected, it meets EN 54-16 and ISO 7240-16. Critical alarm functions are on physical buttons for operators wearing gloves.
Can I play music from a phone or laptop?
Yes. Plug into the 3.5 mm line input. The music becomes available on the network and can play in any speaker zone.
How does a PRAESENSA system fit together?
The [PRA-SCL] or [PRA-SCS] system controller is the brain: it routes all audio, plays messages and supervises every device. [Amplifiers], [multifunction power supplies] with battery backup and [call stations] all connect over one IP network using OMNEO, with loop-through cabling for redundancy. Up to 250 devices and 500+ zones per system, certified to EN 54-16 and ISO 7240-16.
Who supplies Bosch PRAESENSA in Pakistan, and what warranty do I get?
Electronic Security Company (ESCO) is the only authorized distributor of Bosch, Dynacord and Electro-Voice in Pakistan, so every PRAESENSA product we supply is genuine and comes with a 3-year warranty. Warranty is carry-in: bring the unit to an ESCO office and after inspection it is repaired or replaced as needed.
