Where does the PRA-WCP-EU fit?
On the wall of a room or zone in a Bosch PRAESENSA system. Staff choose the background music source and set the volume locally, and the [PRA-SCL] controller adjusts the amplifier channels.
What can staff control?
The music source, from a list of BGM channels assigned to that zone, and the volume, within minimum and maximum limits set during configuration. Everything is done with one knob: turn to choose, push to select.
Can I stop guests or the public changing the music?
Yes. Optional PIN access limits operation to authorized staff, which is useful in hotel lobbies, restaurants and shops
How is it installed?
It flush-mounts in a standard European round back box (60 mm diameter, 60 mm deep). One shielded network cable carries both data and PoE power (802.3af, 1.3 W). Power it from a PoE port such as the [PRA-ES8P2S] switch.
Does it work for emergency announcements?
No. It controls background music only. Emergency calls and alarm messages from the PRAESENSA system always override it automatically.
How does a PRAESENSA system fit together?
The [PRA-SCL] or [PRA-SCS] system controller is the brain: it routes all audio, plays messages and supervises every device. [Amplifiers], [multifunction power supplies] with battery backup and [call stations] all connect over one IP network using OMNEO, with loop-through cabling for redundancy. Up to 250 devices and 500+ zones per system, certified to EN 54-16 and ISO 7240-16.
Who supplies Bosch PRAESENSA in Pakistan, and what warranty do I get?
Electronic Security Company (ESCO) is the only authorized distributor of Bosch, Dynacord and Electro-Voice in Pakistan, so every PRAESENSA product we supply is genuine and comes with a 3-year warranty. Warranty is carry-in: bring the unit to an ESCO office and after inspection it is repaired or replaced as needed.
