Where does the PRA-ANS fit?
In noisy zones of a Bosch PRAESENSA system, such as airport halls, stations, factories and busy malls. It measures the background noise and tells the [PRA-SCL] controller, which raises or lowers the zone’s volume automatically.
How does it adjust announcements and music?

Announcements stay clearly above the noise without being uncomfortably loud.
How many sensors does a zone need?
One for most rooms. Up to four can be combined for a large area such as a concourse or production hall, and their noise readings are merged.
Where should it be mounted?
Close to where the noise comes from and away from the PA speakers. This matters most in tracking mode, where speaker sound reaching the sensor could keep pushing the volume up.
Can it be used outdoors?
Yes, in sheltered outdoor areas. It’s IP65 with or without the back box and has a sealed cable gland. It operates from -25°C to +55°C, but needs at least -5°C to power up.
What happens if the sensor fails?
It’s fail-safe. If the sensor fails or is disconnected, announcement volume in its zone goes to the maximum of its set range, so messages are never too quiet.
How does a PRAESENSA system fit together?
The [PRA-SCL] or [PRA-SCS] system controller is the brain: it routes all audio, plays messages and supervises every device. [Amplifiers], [multifunction power supplies] with battery backup and [call stations] all connect over one IP network using OMNEO, with loop-through cabling for redundancy. Up to 250 devices and 500+ zones per system, certified to EN 54-16 and ISO 7240-16.
Who supplies Bosch PRAESENSA in Pakistan, and what warranty do I get?
Electronic Security Company (ESCO) is the only authorized distributor of Bosch, Dynacord and Electro-Voice in Pakistan, so every PRAESENSA product we supply is genuine and comes with a 3-year warranty. Warranty is carry-in: bring the unit to an ESCO office and after inspection it is repaired or replaced as needed.
