Is the H8c 2K⁺ still current?
EZVIZ has replaced it, and we are selling the last units. The current model is the H8c Pro 3K: sharper (5MP vs 4MP), detects vehicles as well as people and works on 2.4 or 5 GHz Wi-Fi. For the most detail, take the H8c Pro 4K (8MP).
Does the H8c 2K⁺ zoom in on people?
Yes. When it detects a person it follows and zooms in on them. Draw custom alert areas in the app so cars and people on the road outside your gate do not set off alerts.
H8c 2K⁺ or H8c Pro 4K?
The H8c Pro 4K doubles the detail (8MP vs 4MP) and also detects vehicles; take it for a long driveway or to read plates. The H8c 2K⁺ is the balanced choice for most homes and shops.
Which H8c should I choose?
All H8c models pan and tilt to cover the whole area, see in colour at night (IR up to 30 m), talk both ways and warn intruders with a siren and strobe. They differ in megapixels and how they connect:

Good Wi-Fi at the spot: a Wi-Fi model; where 2.4 GHz is crowded, the H8c Pro 3K and Pro 4K also work on 5 GHz. Weak Wi-Fi but a cable run: the H8c 2K on PoE. No internet at all: the H8c 4G or H8c Pro 3K 4G.
IR, colour night vision or ColorFULL: what is the difference?
IR night vision uses invisible infrared light. It works in total darkness and reaches the furthest, but the video is black and white.
Colour night vision switches on white spotlights, usually when it detects someone, so the video is in colour and clothes, cars and faces are easier to tell apart. The sudden light also warns intruders off.
ColorFULL (H8x 2K⁺ and H80x Dual) uses a large sensor and a very bright F1.0 lens to record colour from very little light, such as a street lamp, without switching any lights on. In complete darkness it falls back to IR.
What do 2K, 3K and 4K mean in megapixels?
Brands use 2K, 3K and 4K loosely, so compare cameras by megapixels:

More megapixels keep faces and number plates readable when you zoom into a recording. For a room 2MP to 3MP is enough; for a gate, driveway or shop front, 4MP and above is worth it.
How does it record, and do I need a subscription?
Video is saved on a microSD card in the camera (not included). When the card is full, the oldest video is overwritten automatically. ESCO stocks genuine EZVIZ cards in 64 GB and 128 GB.
No subscription is needed: live view, playback, alerts and AI detection all work in the free EZVIZ app. EZVIZ CloudPlay is an optional paid plan that also keeps alert clips online, so they are safe even if the camera or card is stolen.
What does it need to connect, and does it keep recording if the internet goes down?
It connects to your home Wi-Fi (2.4 GHz on most models), and many models also have an Ethernet port for a network cable where Wi-Fi is weak. Check the Wi-Fi signal on your phone at the mounting spot first; a Wi-Fi extender or a cable fixes a weak spot.
If the internet goes down, the camera keeps recording to its microSD card. You only lose live view and alerts on your phone until the connection is back.
Who sells EZVIZ in Pakistan, and what warranty and support do I get?
Electronic Security Company (ESCO) is the authorized national distributor of EZVIZ in Pakistan, so every unit is genuine and comes with a 1-year warranty. Warranty is carry-in: bring the unit to an ESCO office or the dealer you bought from, and after inspection it is repaired or replaced.
