Bosch DICENTIS DCNM-CB05 System Cable Assembly 5 m
The DICENTIS DCNM-CB05 is a 5-metre prefabricated system cable that carries both network communication and power in a single cable. It connects DICENTIS devices to the audio powering switch or powering switch, and is the right length for medium runs between desks, rows and nearby equipment.
Both ends are factory-terminated with RJ45-type connectors that include additional power pins, which saves installation time on site. The cable carries up to 140 W, with a 6.40 mm TPV jacket in Signal black (RAL 9004) and a bend radius over 26 mm.

Connect to the Powering Switch
Run a system cable from the audio powering switch to the first DICENTIS device. One cable carries both network data and power.
Loop Through Each Device
Link each device to the next with a system cable to build a daisy chain. Discussion, voting and touchscreen devices can all share the same chain.
Add a Redundant Return Cable
Connect the last device back to the powering switch (shown dashed). This closes the loop, so every device can be reached from both directions.
Choose the Right Length
Use 2 m or 5 m cables between neighbouring seats, and 10 m or 25 m cables for longer runs from the equipment rack to the first or last device.
If a cable in a redundant loop is damaged or disconnected, the devices stay connected and powered through the other side of the loop, so the meeting carries on without interruption.

What does the DICENTIS system cable carry?
Network communication and power in one cable, up to 140 W. The RJ45-type connectors have extra power pins, so DICENTIS devices are powered through the same cable. It connects a device to the DCNM-APS2 audio powering switch or the DCNM-PS2 powering switch, and device to device for loop-through and redundant cabling.
The cables are prefabricated, with connectors already fitted, to save installation time.

Pick the length that reaches from seat to seat, or from the powering switch to the first seat. Bosch also lists these cables with an -I suffix (for example DCNM-CB05-I); it is the same cable.
For custom lengths, Bosch supplies the DCNM-CB250 250 m cable reel, cut to size and fitted with DCNM-CBCON connectors using the DCNM-CBTK toolkit.
Can I use a normal Ethernet cable instead?
No. DICENTIS system cables have RJ45-type connectors with additional power pins, which carry the power together with the network. A standard Ethernet patch cable has no power pins, so it cannot power DICENTIS devices.
What are loop-through and cable redundancy?
DICENTIS devices are daisy-chained: each device connects to the next with one network cable. The last device in the loop can be connected back to a DCNM-APS2 or DCNM-PS2, so the loop is fed from both ends. If one cable is damaged, the devices stay powered and connected from the other side.
