Know before you buy
Quick answers about the HB9c/SP Dual Kit 3K, and how it compares.
What comes in the HB9c Dual Kit?
The HB9c Dual camera, an 8 W solar panel (3 m cable), a power cable, an adjustable mounting bracket, a drilling template, two screw kits and the quick start guides. It mounts on a wall, ceiling or pole.
The 5 V 2 A adapter and the microSD card are not included.
How do the two lenses work together?
The top lens (2.8 mm) gives the wide view. The bottom lens (6 mm) turns 350° and tilts 80°.
With Co-Detection one lens spots a person and the other follows them, so you see the whole scene and the close-up at the same time.
Point both lenses the same way for up to 4× zoom: tap any spot in the EZVIZ app to bring it closer. Or point them in different directions to watch two areas, like the gate and the garage.
HB9c Dual Kit or HB90 Dual Kit?
HB9c Dual: sharper 3K (5MP) on both lenses, colour night vision up to 20 m, 5,200 mAh battery.
HB90 Dual: 2K⁺ (4MP) lenses, but a bigger 10,400 mAh battery and colour night vision up to 35 m.
Both come with an 8 W solar panel, record all day and warn intruders with a siren.
HB9c Dual Kit or the wired H9c Dual 3K?
Same two 5MP (3K) lenses and the same tracking.
HB9c Dual Kit: battery and solar panel, no cables to the camera. Best where there is no power point.
H9c Dual 3K: needs a power point, and adds an Ethernet port and 5 GHz Wi-Fi.
Will the solar panel keep it charged in Pakistan?
In most of Pakistan, yes. A few hours of direct sun a day keeps up with normal use. Point the panel south, angle it towards the sun and keep it out of shade from walls, trees and water tanks. Wipe off dust now and then, because a dusty panel charges much less.
In winter fog and smog, charging slows down and the battery carries the camera through. If it ever runs low, charge it with a Type-C cable.
How do the EZVIZ wire-free cameras compare?
| Model | Megapixels | View | Battery and solar | All-day recording |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| CB5 4K | 8MP | Fixed, 135° wide | 10,400 mAh, solar built in | Yes |
| CB8 | 3MP | Pan & tilt, follows people | 10,400 mAh, panel optional | No |
| HB8 Lite | 4MP | Pan & tilt, follows people and vehicles | 5,200 mAh, panel optional | Yes |
| HB8c/SP | 4MP | HB8 Lite with a 5 W panel | 5,200 mAh, panel included | Yes |
| HB90 Dual kit | 2 × 4MP | Wide lens plus pan & tilt lens | 10,400 mAh, 8 W panel included | Yes |
| HB9c/SP Dual Kit 3K | 2 × 5MP | Wide lens plus pan & tilt lens | 5,200 mAh, 8 W panel included | Yes |
No power at the spot? Choose one of these. Power but no Wi-Fi? The H8c 4G runs on a SIM card.
Does a battery camera record all the time?
Normally a battery camera sleeps and records a short clip when its motion sensor is triggered, which saves battery. Cameras with Always-On Video (AOV) keep recording all day at a low frame rate and switch to full speed when something happens, so there are no gaps in the timeline.
AOV uses more power, so pair it with a solar panel. The CB5 4K, HB8 Lite, HB8c/SP and HB90 Dual kit have AOV; the CB8 records motion clips.
What do 2K, 3K and 4K mean in megapixels?
Brands use 2K, 3K and 4K loosely, so compare cameras by megapixels:
| Megapixels | Sold as | Pixels |
|---|---|---|
| 2MP | 1080p, Full HD | 1920 × 1080 |
| 3MP | 2K | 2304 × 1296 |
| 4MP | 2K⁺, QHD | 2560 × 1440 |
| 5MP | 3K | 2880 × 1620 |
| 8MP | 4K, UHD | 3840 × 2160 |
More megapixels keep faces and number plates readable when you zoom into a recording. For a room 2MP to 3MP is enough; for a gate, driveway or shop front, 4MP and above is worth it.
How does it record, and do I need a subscription?
Video is saved on a microSD card in the camera (not included). When the card is full, the oldest video is overwritten automatically. ESCO stocks genuine EZVIZ cards in 64 GB and 128 GB.
No subscription is needed: live view, playback, alerts and AI detection all work in the free EZVIZ app. EZVIZ CloudPlay is an optional paid plan that also keeps alert clips online, so they are safe even if the camera or card is stolen.
