Ordering details

Left or right is a different part number, so look at the barrier from the front (the Hikvision logo facing you): if the boom should be on your right, order RA; on your left, LA. Ask us for the 6 m and round boom versions, and for the folding boom DS-TMG4B1 (2+2 m) for low ceilings.

Which boom length do I need?

The boom covers the lane, so measure the lane width: 3 m (octagonal boom), 4 m or 6 m (telescopic or round boom). The telescopic booms are set to the exact width on site.

Left or right: which one do I order?

Stand in front of the barrier with the Hikvision logo facing you. Boom on your right: DS-TMG4B0-RA. Boom on your left: DS-TMG4B0-LA. Order the right part number for your side of the lane.

What stops the boom hitting a car?

Two things. If the boom meets resistance while closing it rebounds. And an anti-fall radar (DS-TMG035 or DS-TMG034) or a loop detector in the road on the induction input, or an IR beam on the IR input, holds the boom up while a car or person is under it.

Can it open by number plate?

Yes. A Hikvision entrance ANPR camera such as the DS-TCG406-E reads the plate and switches the barrier through its relay output. Listed cars (up to 100,000) get in without a guard, also when the network is down.

What happens in a power cut?

The boom stays where it is. The guard opens the cabinet and turns the hand wheel on the motor to lift or lower the boom by hand.

Why is it cheaper than the DS-TMG320 and DS-TMG520?

It is the simple one: an AC motor with a worm gear instead of a DC brushless drive, so it opens in 3 s rather than 0.9 to 1.5 s, and it has no indicator light, RS-485 or Bluetooth. For a gate with a few hundred cars a day that is all you need.

How does the guard open it?

With the 430.5 MHz remote, with the rise, fall and stop buttons on the barrier, or automatically from a number plate camera or a toll system through the barrier's inputs.
