The VWP is a wall-mounted control panel used to adjust volume, mute, select zones and sources, and control media playback locally in a room — commonly installed in meeting rooms, classrooms, hotel rooms, and reception areas running a Dynacord V Series zone audio system.
No — the VWP is powered and controlled entirely over the accessory bus of a VZX-8 8-Zone Audio Processor, connected via RJ45. It cannot operate as a standalone control panel.
Up to 16 VWP units can be daisy-chained per VZX-8 processor (8 per accessory port), and this limit is shared with any VCS-8 call stations connected to the same processor.
It requires a standard round electrical box 60 mm in diameter and at least 60 mm deep. It ships with a Decora wall plate in both white and black, and a 1-gang Decora wall plate can also be sourced from any local hardware supplier if needed.
