EZVIZ DL20FVS Plus: Frequently Asked Questions
Here are quick answers on face and palm recognition, unlocking, the door viewer, battery life, security and fitting. For anything else, our team is happy to help.
The DL20FVS Plus uses 3D in-depth sensing, powered by a 12 nm AI chip and a dual-core CPU, to recognise your face in 1 second or less. It works day and night, and it still knows you after a new hairstyle or with glasses. Stand within 1 metre of the lock; it recognises faces at heights between 1.2 and 2 metres. It can't be fooled by photos, videos, 3D masks or statues. All face data is processed and stored on the lock itself, and no real photos are saved or sent.
Palm vein recognition lets you open the door by holding your palm 15–25 cm in front of the sensor, then pressing the handle. It's handy when a face covering gets in the way, for family members of different heights, or for anyone whose fingerprints are worn.
You can use Face ID, palm vein, fingerprint, passcode, temporary visitor codes, remote unlocking in the EZVIZ app, Bluetooth keys, or the mechanical key. The lock supports up to 50 users, with up to 50 face IDs, 50 palm veins, 50 fingerprints and 50 passcodes.
Yes. A built-in door viewer camera (1080 × 1960 resolution, 150° diagonal view) shows visitors on a 4-inch IPS screen on the inside panel. The screen is for viewing only, not touch. You can also answer from your phone with a two-way video call, with a voice changer option.
The 5,000 mAh rechargeable lithium battery lasts about 4–5 months per charge. That figure is based on Bluetooth mode with Wi-Fi turned off and about 10 openings a day, so with Wi-Fi on it will be shorter. The app warns you when the battery is low. If it runs flat, connect a power bank to the Type-C port to get in.
