How do the two lenses work together?
A 2.8 mm lens shows the wide view and a 6 mm lens shows the close-up. When a person or vehicle is spotted, the close-up follows them automatically (co-detection), and you can tap any spot in the wide view to look at it up close. Both lenses are 5MP (3K).
H9c Dual 3K or H90 Dual 5MP+5MP?
Both have two 5MP lenses. The H90 Dual 5MP+5MP turns each lens separately to watch two directions and sees in colour up to 40 m. The H9c Dual 3K is built around one wide view plus a following close-up, and adds 5 GHz Wi-Fi.
H9c Dual 3K or C8PF?
The H9c Dual 3K is sharper (5MP vs 2MP), sees in colour at night and has a siren and strobe. The C8PF has a longer telephoto lens with 8× zoom for details far away.

IR, colour night vision or ColorFULL: what is the difference?
IR night vision uses invisible infrared light. It works in total darkness and reaches the furthest, but the video is black and white.
Colour night vision switches on white spotlights, usually when it detects someone, so the video is in colour and clothes, cars and faces are easier to tell apart. The sudden light also warns intruders off.
ColorFULL (H8x 2K⁺ and H80x Dual) uses a large sensor and a very bright F1.0 lens to record colour from very little light, such as a street lamp, without switching any lights on. In complete darkness it falls back to IR.
What do 2K, 3K and 4K mean in megapixels?
Brands use 2K, 3K and 4K loosely, so compare cameras by megapixels:

More megapixels keep faces and number plates readable when you zoom into a recording. For a room 2MP to 3MP is enough; for a gate, driveway or shop front, 4MP and above is worth it.
How does it record, and do I need a subscription?
Video is saved on a microSD card in the camera (not included). When the card is full, the oldest video is overwritten automatically. ESCO stocks genuine EZVIZ cards in 64 GB and 128 GB.
No subscription is needed: live view, playback, alerts and AI detection all work in the free EZVIZ app. EZVIZ CloudPlay is an optional paid plan that also keeps alert clips online, so they are safe even if the camera or card is stolen.
What does it need to connect, and does it keep recording if the internet goes down?
It connects to your home Wi-Fi (2.4 GHz on most models), and many models also have an Ethernet port for a network cable where Wi-Fi is weak. Check the Wi-Fi signal on your phone at the mounting spot first; a Wi-Fi extender or a cable fixes a weak spot.
If the internet goes down, the camera keeps recording to its microSD card. You only lose live view and alerts on your phone until the connection is back.
